Religious Activism Challenging HIV/AIDS: Moving towards 2015

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal UN global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and the advancement of women. Every year, representatives of Member States gather at UN Headquarters in New York to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and advancement of women worldwide. In keeping with the theme, the Temple of Understanding will present an interfaith panel presentation entitled, “Religious Activism Challenging HIV/AIDS: Moving towards 2015.” Invited speaker Robert Chodo Campbell will speak about his work, faith perspectives and what he envisions for the future with respect to HIV/AIDS activism in faith communities.
